About The Song

The title (-ism) is a reference to the many disturbing and distorting ideologies which end in ‘-ism’ such as fascism, racism and terrorism.

-ism was written as a response to the conspiracy theories and protests that sprang up around the time of the Covid 19 lockdowns. It seemed like half the world was untethered to reality. It was particularly distressing to see such idiocy infecting New Zealand.
